This is what we do!
For the re-launch of Rocky Horror Show from the Royal Theatre, Sydney. In an Australian first, we created a piece using POV drones to showcase the expansive front of house and back stage areas.
We've had the great pleasure of working with the non-profit charity Please Stay Foundation. This is a project we've taken to heart, it's our way of giving back to the community and supporting an organisation on the front line of much needed service's for young people and families struggling with mental health and suicide ideation. Golden Duck was the proud broadcast producer for the SBS coverage of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
Our team built a spectacular broadcast format over a 5 year period. Working with some of the biggest names in Australian television. Including Joel Creasey, Tom Ballard, Em Rusciano, Magda Szubanski, Faustina Agolley and Patrick Abboud. With many featured international special guests.
Of course none of this would be possible without the enormous contribution from the LGBTQI Community creating the worlds best pride parade.

Golden Duck had the pleasure of working with both Tropfest and SBS to produce a live broadcast of the world's largest short film festival.
It was big and colourful and full of personality, everything we'd expect from an event like Tropfest.
We love being part of this iconic Australian event, so did Tropfest, SBS2 and the viewers.

Splendour In the Grass is one of Australia’s biggest annual music and arts festivals. It attracts some of the biggest acts in the world, and has become an annual winter pilgrimage drawing thousands, nay, millions of fans from all around Australia.
We've had a long and fruitful relationship with this festival helping conceive and create a range content for them and brands. From live streaming one off band performances, to producing 6-8 hour hosted live broadcasts with band interviews and filming stories from the festival grounds. It's something we love working on.
Golden Duck was engaged by Virgin Mobile and the festival organisers in 2011, 2012, 2013 and then Telstra 2015 to manage and produce the coverage.

Virgin Mobile Australia wanted us to create a series of cinema ad's for their sponsorship of the Openair Cinema over the 2014 summer season. So we kindly obliged. These are simple but effective stories that convey a great message to movie goers.

Golden Duck was asked to create a television program for Virgin Mobile at a “Surprise Gig” with Brooklyn indie pop rockers MGMT.
The half hour TV special was broadcast on the Nine Network’s digital channel GO! It was the highest rated program for its demographic (18-25) on the day.
The show was used by Sony International to help promote MGMT’s live performances in the States and Europe.

SBS Australia wanted us to create an ongoing series format that showcased popular programs on SBS2 - the cult hit Chinese dating show "If You Are The One" was the first cab off the rank.
We produced a fun, irreverent but affectionate review of the program. Counting down and presenting a beginners guide to the show, celebrating its success, highlighting the cultural quirks of the show, and recognising the passion of the fans.
"If You Are The One" is currently watched by upwards of 36 million fans in China and available with English subtitles only in Australia on SBS2.

An inspiring series, showcasing the best Australian short films from the Academy accredited short film festival, Flickerfest.
Commissioned by The Movie Network Channels on Foxtel, series 1 and 2 was hosted by Aussie heart throb Damian Walshe-Howling and featured interviews with industry heavy weights Rachel Griffith, Deborah-lee Furness, Bruce Beresford, Rachel Ward and Warwick Thornton.
We took a new direction on Series 3 and teamed up with the amazing design team at Picture Drift and created 14 comic puppet style animations as introductions to each of the short films.
The end product had a unique aesthetic and really captured the imagination of our viewers.

Golden Duck was invited by the 9 Network and funded by 20th Century Fox Australia to produce a half hour television special on James Cameron's masterpiece, Avatar.
Hosted by Richard Wilkins, we had an exclusive one on one interview with the star of the film Sam Worthington, as well as access to previously unseen footage.
The special aired on the 9 Network a week prior to the release of the film in Australia. It was a hugely successful marketing initiative by 20th Century Fox, received rave reviews and high ratings.

Movie Network Channels approached Golden Duck to create and produce an interstitial series looking at the hugely popular children's drama, Conspiracy 365.
Thus Casefile 365 was born, a 12 part short form series set in the basement of a fictitious superfan (Bardiya McKinnon). His charge was to push viewers to dig deep into the series online and help them solve mysteries and unravel clues in each episode.
This was a wonderfully challenging and creative project that we loved being part of.
Casefile 365 won a Promox Award or Best Interstitial Series 2011.
